Our Story

Our vision extends beyond crafting superior fish sauce

Commitment to Flavor & Regeneration

At Third Coast Superior, our commitment to regeneration goes beyond mere words. We stand firmly in our dedication to sourcing regenerative materials.

Our fish sauce is sourced from trusted fisherman Bill Bodin of Bayfield, Wisconsin, and hand-harvested kosher sea salt from Jacobsen Sea Salt Company on the Oregon Coast to ensure the highest quality and ethically sourced foundation for our living process.

Our fish sauce evolves with love, intense umami presence, the minerality of Great Lake Superior, and the Northwest Pacific Ocean.

While we appreciate the tradition of sustainability, we see limitations and fully embrace the regeneration philosophy. Our journey is a dynamic, evolving process that adapts to the flow of life. Our fish sauce is made in small batches to ensure the attainability of the highest quality living liquid.

Every herring run is recorded, providing transparency and a tangible connection to the state of the ecosystems we aim to regenerate.

Meet the Team

Meet Steven Peyer and Heather N. Wilde, the visionaries behind Third Coast Superior.

Rooted in a shared regenerative philosophy, Steven and Heather admire and uphold nature — and those who dance with its elements in mutual respect. Their individual journeys, sparked by deep spiritual awakenings, led them to step away from the conventional and chase a dream rooted in healing and possibility.

Steven’s fish sauce and Heather’s art both honor beauty, creativity, and the wisdom of the natural world. When these passions came together, a new kind of magic was born. Guided by the power and spirit of Lake Superior, they are delighted to bring this company to life, committed to a future where flavor, regeneration, and reverence for nature can thrive together.
